Do you know!
On this day Saturday November 10th 2011, an Arsenal fanatic is homeless after betting his
house on the Gunners beating Manchester United
last weekend.
According to reports in Uganda, Henry Dhabasani
lost the bet with Rashid Yiga who staked his wife
and his new Toyota Premio that United would
win.
Tribal leaders witnessed the wager which was put
in writing before a decisive goal from former
Arsenal striker Robin van Persie gave United
victory over the Premier League leaders at Old
Trafford.
Uganda's Observer newspaper reported that
Dhabasani, who has three wives and five children,
fainted at the final whistle and was evicted from
his two-room house the next day... by United
supporters.
The Gunners' defeat is not the first time an
Arsenal result has had dire consequences this
season.
After Arsenal's 2-0 win over Liverpool earlier this
month, a policeman allegedly shot his friend in
Durban, South Africa, after he was taunted over
the result.
According to reports, the man, a Liverpool fan,
was arrested and charged with attempted murder.
